Hi, I'm Isolabella.
Painter from Genoa, born in 1970.
I studied at the Liceo Artistico Nicolò Barabino.
But I never thought I’d become a painter.
For years I worked as a graphic designer in print and publishing.
And let art fade — the way you let something precious die: without a reason.
But art didn’t abandon me.
It waited.
In April 2022, I painted a portrait of my wife.
I told myself:
“If this works, I’ll return to painting. If not, I’ll walk away forever.”
It worked.
Not perfectly — but enough to awaken everything.
Since then, I’ve painted what moves me:
places I’ve seen, silences I’ve felt,
light that won’t leave me alone.
My style echoes the masters I love — post-impressionists of the past and present.
