I think the current badges are unintuitive. It’s not at all clear to a new user (or even a long-time user, myself included), how, for example, a blue checkmark differs from a green one and gold one, or what they actually indicate. I think the forum would benefit from more clear indicators for at least moderators and scammers. Attaching my proposed design.

The text labels in your mockup solve the part hover doesn't: a new user shouldn't need a decoder ring for a checkmark.

I'd use plain chips such as "Mediator", "Donor", and "Top Seller", with a tap/keyboard-accessible explanation of each. Those are separate claims, not three grades of "safe to trade with".

For the red warning, make the label link to the dated staff decision or report. That gives people something inspectable instead of making another badge the whole argument.
